Pete grew up in Sydney, then lived in Japan in the 90s. That completely changed his approach to business. Came back to Australia and started development of this cutting-edge eclectic website. Now in its 8th year, an eternity in the Internet business, we have demonstrated staying power, while many other flashy sites have fallen by the wayside or make heavy losses.
It's an attempt to apply the 'Japan Inc.' concept of businesses
working together for the mutual benefit of all,
in other words, evolutionary dynamics - reciprocal altruism.
Sydney is Pete's hometown - Sydney Technical High School, University of Technology Sydney (UTS Alumni
 )... The Hogan family has a long-time connection with Sydney City's inner east, and it's apt that we have the "PO Box 1" address.
Also great grandfather's (James Hogan - pioneer of Byron Bay) brother
was the mayor of the sister borough, Waterloo (when The Cross was
'Queens Cross',
Potts Point was 'Carragheen' - Irish seaweed, and
Elizabeth Bay was 'Blacktown' since that was where the blacks had
been shoved.) His name is inscribed in a plaque above the old Waterloo Town Hall entrance in Elizabeth Street:

Peter Hogan's oeuvre focuses on the big picture. It's also about "origins" - first causes, how, why, when and who or what really started something - exposing the impostors, plagiarists, "Us vs. Them" crap... so we can build a society grounded in reality, respect for the deeds of our ancestors and a strong sense of vision...
If you dig any of thes projects come on board for the long haul.
Upon my expiration, the express intent of my Will is that my entire estate is to go into a Trust that establishes a holding Foundation to develop these projects, and that my daughter, her offspring, and supporters, will be executive administrators in carrying them on.
There are a lot of fancy mainstream websites out there with shitloads of money behind them (money that comes from charging plebs high prices for their other products). It comes down to 3 criteria: content, content, content.
The bottomline in determining this website's worth to Australian society has to come from an objective source. Who can argue with our country's National Library. They determined that this website, the works of King's Cross Online's founder Peter Hogan, meets their great Australian criteria - important enough to be archived down in their vaults, even if the rich and powerful bully us off the Internet for exposing them and the injustices in our society.

By interesting Jungian Synchronicity on 26 July, 1956 Peter Hogan's birthday* President Gamal Abdul Nasser declared the nationalization of the Suez Canal. In commemoration "26 July Street" is now a major street in both Cairo and Alexandria in Egypt. So it's even more interesting synchronicity that Pete is born on this important day in Egypt's national history. Pete grew up to unearth Civilization Time about the legitimate year counting system and the plagiarizing and displacing of Egypt's time pioneers by the christian religion marketer's AD impostor.
