May be it's going to be a challenge to outdo the '1962 Lawrence of Arabia movie, but we can at least make a start by outdoing the Lawrence posters. You don't have to be a first class graphic artist. Wouldn't it be great to exhibit creativity from all categories, including Kindergarten.

Let's not let the Lawrence
Myth and Gallipoli Defeat
bandwagon roll again.
In just a few years, '2012, it will be the 50th Anniversary of the David Lean - 7 Academy Award Winner - "Lawrence of Arabia". And that's not far away from '2016 - '2018, the WWI 100th Anniversary of the real events.
That means major Hollywood Film and TV production companies are now working on their blockbusters and remakes about Lawrence of Arabia. Again blatantly ignoring the historical facts and the true heroes, the Australian Light Horse.
Are fair dinkum Australians of the incumbent generation going to let that happen again?
You see in early '1916 it was the allied force spearheaded by the ALH, that began pushing the Ottoman Empire back out of Egypt all the way to kicking them right out of the Middle East by October '1918.
The historical evidence clearly shows the greatest military victory in modern history was executed by uncouth Australians, thereby making possible the new State of Israel. Not Lawrence, who was 'created' by an American journalist after the War. So let's also begin the difficult task of replacing the Gallipoli defeat as our No.1 'achievement' in the national psyche.
We have an obligation to restore the honour of the Billjim - by coming up with our own film, "Australians of Arabia - The Movie"
All of us, can make some kind of contribution to make it happen.
We need to find out which major Australian Bank has an Fair Dinkum Rating 5Stars, by assisting with the early funding. Then it's got to be backing from other high profile Australians, like Richard Pratt, Rupert Murdoch, Mel Gibson, Russel Crowe...
And there are signs of change. Even at the ABC see their News report of 29 April 12008 Pratt funds Light Horse commemoration in Israel.
And we need other important sponsors, starting with a fair dinkum Campervan company, run by people with the Billjim spirit, so AOA can tour around Australia getting even more support, and family history stories from descendants of the Billjim.
Becoming a sponsor or investor in the AOA - The Movie is not a high risk investment. Australians will go to see this film. But we want more than an a healthy ROI. Our mission is not only to get the Oscar for Best Picture in at the Academy Awards. Our film has to be better than David Lean's - in every way, directing, cinematography, acting, costumes, story, historical accuracy and international box office.
After we get the seed money and initial support we can setup a proper AOA website, with webcams as we travel round the country in our Campas. Execellent international advertising for our Campervan sponsor, and the Australian Tourist Industry, generally.
Even school and university students can be involved - we can have a competition for AOA - The Movie posters, website designs, etc.
We also intend to use the 'Wikipedia' / 'Open Souce' system for the AOA Film outline and screenplay. So any fair dinkum Australian will have the opportunity to put forward editing suggestions.
If you are stuck for what you can do to help, join our 'Pied Piper' pre-production promotional tour around Australia. The more campervans we have in our convoy the more discount we can get from our Official AOA Campervan Supplier and other sponsors. Just think what it would be like to travel around this great country. So many beautiful places we will never otherwise see.
Come on, you only live once, if nothing else this is a way out of that rut you are in, the high rents, the mortgage stress, that shitty job... a chance to do something big - you could even run for the Senate with the confidence you get out of being part of our journey on par with what the Light Horse did 92 years ago.
So join The Great Ride around Australia promoting and recruiting. And then on ships for the Centennial Celebrations retracing the steps of the Billjim - Cairo by '2016, Jeruasalem Decemeber '2017, and finally Damascus 6:30am 1 October '2018 - where we will get the drop on the Lawrence sycophants.
Also on our tour schedule over the next decade will be promoting our AOA Movie, at Cannes, the Sundance Festival, etc., and the Big Night at the Oscars!
The time has come. The Billjim need fair dinkum Australians to step up to the plate like they did.

It sure is hard going if your are not connected to the Establishment - all the organizations we have approached for the Billjim think we are crazy - "modern Australians are not interested this..." take RSL National Major General Crews and State Presidents - took 3 months to send a totally negative reply, or none at all; startup business consultants like 'Clearly Business' / Business Enterprice Centre, BEC - David Baumgarten and Pommy offsider Yesim - "I just don't get it..."
