An action against a number of organizations and institutions who have defamed the ALH by falsely reporting that the mythical "Lawrence of Arabia" played the dominant role in ousting the Turks from a 400 year occupation of the Holy Land. The most recent violation (which was the straw that broke the camel's back) was our own ABC broadcasting on ANZAC Day '04 - the lastest homage to "Lawrence of Arabia". Other violators range from the producers of that show, to other public broadcasters like BBC & PBS, and even to the Australian government through their failure to ensure that the education system teaches children history before it was rewritten by Hollywood for their consumption. (So it would also be appropriate to go after the reputations of David Lean and Sam Spiegel, the makers of the movie.) Fiasco of ABC showing LOA on Anzac Day '04! - A day of remembrance - and here is ABC completely helping to forget what ANZACs did... Failure to even present a balanced view - i.e. the ALH side LOA a public interest case because highlights serious shortcomings in our education system... ALH have rights even in dispossessed death, just like refugees et al do. Claim based on violations defamation, media / communications / broadcasting and trade practices law. One remedy we would make clear we are seeking is that the court orders the ABC to assist in producing the first documentary ever made on the matter that gives the ALH story.
